Understanding the importance of silk in Indian wardrobes, the State Government set up the Karnataka Silk Industries Corporation (KSIC) to meet the people's desire of possessing pure silk. It guarantees its silks / semi-silk products for fifty years.
KSIC was established in the year 1980 as a government of Karnataka enterprise, to develop silk industries in Karnataka. In a span of twenty years it has achieved a benchmark in pure silks.
